Zoom down Luna Park's historic coaster in honor of the Cyclone's 85th birthday. 25 cents per ride for the first 85 minutes (starting at noon).

At the opening weekend of CMOM's NYC Design Studio, a space where top designers lead kids in a series of hands-on programs, kids can watch a performance of Potted Potter, then participate in a magic wand–making workshop. Free with museum admission.

Celebrate Caribbean Heritage Month with a dance party, culinary and steel-pan-drum workshops, and a parade at the Brooklyn Children's Museum's 2nd Annual Kiddies Caribbean Fiesta. Free with museum admission.

Watch Spider-Man perform stunts, chat with spider specialists from the zoo, and climb up a rock wall like Spidey himself at the Bronx Zoo's Spider-Man Day. Free with zoo admission. 

SUNDAY July 1st

Stand in awe of "Wendy by HWKN," an enormous, pointy   3-D star made of blue fabric, opening today at MoMA PS1. Free with suggested admission.

Tots can drop into the JCC in Manhattan's recently renovated rooftop playground for an afternoon of playtime. FREE

Hop aboard an NYC Audubon Summer EcoCruise to Long Island Sound's Brother Islands to learn all about the NYC ecosystem. $35, children under 13 $25.

Check out a screening of The Adventures of Prince Achmed, the oldest surviving animated feature film and a family-friendly addition to BAMcinemaFest. $15, children 12 and under $10.

Learn all about Lady Liberty by listening to two stories, Callista Gingrich's Sweet Land of Liberty and The Story of the Statue of Liberty by Betsy and Giulio Maestro at the New-York Historical Society. Free with museum admission.
