Amelia Robinson (host of the popular children's concert series, Mil's Trllls) is launching her "Book Your Babysitter" Tour, giving parents an after-hours musical respite from the daily grind of child-rearing. Encouraging shared sitters or alternating nights out with friends, Amelia promises an affordable and entertaining way to enjoy her "grown-up" music in a quiet calm setting free from dirty diapers and soggy Mum-Mums.
Mature audiences will expect to hear a far more personal side of Amelia's music through intricate arrangements of original songs performed on both ukulele and piano. Joined by a rotating cast of instruments and talent, Amelia makes light (and dark) of vulnerable situations with a charismatic flair. Not for the faint hearted. Parents will be pleased to hear that we'll be resuming our monthly drop-in shows at The Rock Shop with special guest and educator Shawn "The Puru" Shafner of The People's Own Organic Power Project (www.thePOOPproject.org) who will lead us in fun games & songs about digestion. We've also got another fun show with Rolie Polie Guacamole at Union Hall, an opening appearance for Suzi Shelton at the Bell House, and a Holiday concert at the Children's Museum of Manhattan! .. Oh, and don't forget about two added dates in October; a drop-in show at Two Moon Cafe on 10/26 plus our special concert to celebrate The Birth Day Presence's 10th anniversary party on 10/28!
