Gutai Artist-Led Family Tour and Workshop @ Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum
Gutai artists Matsutani Takesada and Horio Sadaharu engage families in creating Gutai-inspired art. Visit the galleries and participate in an art-making workshop that embraces Gutai’s participatory and experimental spirit. Ages 4-12.

Making the Familiar Strange: Art Workshops with Pratt Institute Art Educators @ Scandinavia House
Join art educators from Pratt Institute for the spring season of Saturday afternoon art workshops inspired by Scandinavia House’s newest exhibition New Wave Finland: Contemporary Photography from the Helsinki School. Ages 6-10.

Washington’s Birthday Ball @ Mount Vernon Hotel Museum & Garden
19th-century New Yorkers celebrated Washington’s birthday with live music and dance. All ages will enjoy this reenactment as costumed dancers perform and teach traditional country dances with everyone encouraged to join in. Family-friendly museum tours and light refreshments are included in the festivities.

Macy's Sunday Storytime @ DiMenna Children's History Museum
When Mrs. Madoff’s class decides to hold an assembly about President’s Day, everyone in class helps set up and perform a grand play. Discover why we celebrate the holiday and then act as George Washington in the DiMenna Children’s History Museum – you can even practice the oath of office! Ages 4-7.

Purim In The Palace @ The Jewish Children's Museum
Get into the Purim spirit! Join in with storytelling with Queen Esther, a search for King Achashverosh’s missing signet ring, and a chance to design your own Purim mask or crown. Also featuring The Friendship Basket: Make a Purim bag for a friend while learning tips and techniques on how to gift wrap using ordinary household items.

Poppy Seed Player: A Poppy Seed Purim @ Merkin Concert Hall
The Jews of Shushan are in danger, but Queen Esther is around to save the day! Our lighthearted look at the Biblical story of Esther combines catchy songs, comic characters and plenty of audience participation – plus a cookie! Kids can boo the villain Haman and cheer on Queen Esther, who convinces her husband King Ahasuerus to spare the Jews.

Presidents in Residence! February School @ DiMenna Children's History Museum
Families explore, learn, and compete together in these presidential family programs. They will search for presidential clues on the whole-museum scavenger hunt; create an election slogan to print onto their own election button; and take part in the family Presidents’ quiz, with questions for children, teens, and adults. Prizes for participation and for winning.

MoMA: Art Lab People @ MoMA
In their latest interactive space, visitors of all ages can discover the ways in which artists represent the human form. Investigate body language through art-making activities, digital play, and other creative explorations. Stop by before or after visiting MoMA’s galleries.

Fancy Nancy The Musical @ McGinn/Cazale Theatre
Fancy Nancy and her friends are going to be performing in their very first show, “Deep Sea Dances.” Nancy is positive that she and her friend Bree will be picked to be mermaids. When another girl wins the coveted role of the mermaid, Nancy is stuck playing a dreary, dull tree.
