Calling all robot builders! Join in and build your very own working robot! Using motors, screws, and recycled materials you’ll learn how to assemble and power-up your very own personalized robot to take home.

Hablemos De La Historia Y Del Arte: Nueva York y la Segunda Guerra Mundial @ DiMenna Children's History Museum
Families look, discuss, and create in this Spanish-language monthly family program, combining time in the galleries with art-making in the studios. You will visit the WWII & NYC exhibit, where you will discover the role of New York City in fighting, and winning, the war.

HSBC Children’s Garden Family Day @ Queens Botanical Garden
Queens Botanical Garden will host a lively afternoon of family fun at the HSBC Children’s Garden Family Day. Children will enjoy giveaway treats, seed plantings, and crafts, while representatives from NYC Compost Project Queens will offer hands-on activities.

Family Astronomy @ American Museum of Natural History
Join in at the Hayden Planetarium for an evening of star hopping, mythology, and stories of the sky. Astronomer and NASA Ambassador Laura Venner will guide the young astronomers and their families as they learn about the stars of the late-winter sky and practice skills in finding and identifying them.

SUNDAY MARCH 10
The Paper Bag Players @ The Jewish Museum
The Paper Bag Players return to The Jewish Museum in Saddles & Sunshine, a new theater production for families. From cowboys and cowgirls greeting the audience with a loud “Howdy!” to a pie-eating contest and a day in the life of a bowling pin, Saddles & Sunshine will have children and adults alike laughing, clapping and singing along.

Second Sunday Family Tour @ Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum

Art Project: Stylish Seed Pots @ Wave Hill
Be inspired by colorful and varied mosaics from many cultures, and invent patterns of your own. Then, take an ordinary terracotta pot and embellish it with stones, beads and ceramic tiles. Add a precious seed and plant it in your new pot.

How Do They Do That? @ The Metropolitan Museum Of Art
Peek at technique and learn - through handling tools and materials - how works of art were created. The program is divided into thirty-minute sessions, between 1pm and 4pm. Suitable for all ages.
